Pressure Pipe
Pressure Pipe, a vital component in modern infrastructure, is primarily crafted from carbon steel, ensuring robustness and durability. Whether it’s ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) or SMLS (Seamless). The Pressure pipes supplied by Pandapipe are high quality carbon steel pipes using ERW and other manufacturing processes. We through the perfect technical system and strict quality control, the production of steel pipes fully meet the standard requirements and quality testing. It is widely used in various applications such as the transportation of liquids, gases and steam.

A pressure pipe is a pipe used to transport liquids and gases under pressure. Pipes are considered pressure pipes only if their operating pressure is greater than 0.1 MPa, their diameter is greater than 50 mm, and the medium they transport is above its boiling point. Pressure pipes are divided into three types and four categories. The following details the pressure pipe classification.
Pressure Classification
- High-pressure pipelines: 0.1 ≤ P < 1.6, used for urban water supply
- Medium-pressure pipelines: 1.6 < P ≤ 10, used in the chemical industry or for natural gas transportation
- High-pressure pipelines: 10 < P ≤ 100, used for oil and gas transportation
- (Ultra-high-pressure pipelines: P > 100, used for scientific research or for transporting critical fluids.)
Risk Classification
- Long-distance pipelines (GA): Trans-regional oil and gas transportation.
- Public pipelines (GB): Urban gas and heat pipelines.
- Industrial pipelines (GC): Internal process pipelines.
- Power pipelines (GD): Power plant steam pipelines.

How to Select the Right Pressure Pipe
Choosing the right pressure pipe requires consideration from a number of perspectives.
Firstly, the environmental conditions of the application need to be considered, different environmental scenarios require different materials, grades and pressure levels of steel pipe products. Secondly, the strength and temperature of the working conditions need to be considered. Thus, the material of the pressure pipe is selected to suit the environment.
Thirdly, it is necessary to consider whether the installation and maintenance of the pressure pipe can be sustained. Finally, the project as well as the product should be analysed for cost effectiveness.
The above factors are crucial in selecting the perfect pressure hose.
