Sprinkler fittings are pipe accessories used for connecting, redirecting, diverting, or extending water flow, and are used in fire-fighting systems.
Sprinkler Pipe Fittings Types And Selection
Sprinkler pipe fittings types include connectors (for extending pipes), elbows (for changing water flow direction), tees and crosses (for diverting water flow), and female/male connectors (for connecting threaded components). When selecting sprinkler pipe fittings, three key factors should be considered: first, the pipe material must match the fitting material; second, the fitting’s pressure resistance must exceed the maximum operating water pressure; and third, the connection size must match the sprinkler head and main pipe.
