Sch 80 Pipe Thickness

SCH80 is the American standard pipe wall thickness grade. SCH does not represent a specific wall thickness value, but a series of wall thicknesses.

Sch 80 Pipe Thickness

The wall thickness of SCH80 is not thin, and its pressure bearing capacity is also acceptable. The wall thickness of 1-inch (DN25) pipe is about 4.55mm, the wall thickness of 4-inch (DN100) pipe is about 11.13 mm, and the wall thickness of 6-inch (DN150) pipe is about 7.14mm. SCH80 is suitable for carbon steel (such as ASTM A106/A53 Gr.B), stainless steel (such as 304/316), alloy steel and PVC plastic pipes.
