MS Melting Point

The melting point of low-carbon steel ranges from approximately 1350°C to 1530°C. When operating near or above this temperature range, you should consider whether low-carbon steel is suitable as your piping material. Although the melting point lies between 1350°C and 1530°C, the critical softening temperature for steel occurs between 400-500°C. At temperatures around this range, the strength of low-carbon steel is significantly reduced. If you need to cut low-carbon steel, ensure the working temperature exceeds its melting point to achieve separation.
