Carbon steel with a carbon content of 0.25% or less is called low carbon steel.
What is Low Carbon Steel?
The carbon content of low carbon steel is ≤0.25%. Although it has low strength, poor wear resistance and weak corrosion resistance, it has very good ductility and is easy to process and weld. It is usually used for steel bars, bolts and nuts, low-pressure transmission pipelines and structural support pipes.
