FBE Coating

FBE stands for Fusion Bonded Epoxy. FBE coating is an anti-corrosion coating that uses electrostatic spraying to adhere a layer of epoxy powder to the metal surface and is finally fixed at high temperature.

FBE Coating

FBE coating is an epoxy resin system containing 2-3% phenolic curing agent.

  • Before applying this coating, the pipeline is first cleaned in all directions.
  • Then the pipeline is heated to 200 to 250 degrees, and the pipeline is sprayed with powder using electrostatic methods.
  • Finally, it is cured at a temperature of 150 to 200 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

The thickness of a single layer of FBE coating is usually 300-500μm. This coating can make the pipeline corrosion-resistant and resist erosion by media such as water.
